In 2020 Katrina won the National 100 mile Cycling TT Champs and recently secured her place at the WC IM70.3 2021 by winning 70.3 Tallinn in Sept.
Katrina is gearing up for the only remaining European IM on the 2020 calendar in November where she hopes to win and qualify for WC IM Kona 2021.
Katrina has a very keen interest in human physiology. With her background in Physiotherapy and sport science, she is keen to invest highly in the technical side of adaptation to ensure her training is maximised. In 2020, Katrina is trialing some altitude blocks for the first time.
Over the summer of 2020 Katrina was able to travel and train in the Italian Alps, prior to her planned race in November.
Katrina hopes to stimulate the altitude adaptations by using an altitude tent whilst sleeping.
Forth Edge is a key component of this plan as the data the tests provide will enable Katrina to see the tangible improvements from this one aspect of her heavy endurance training programme.
