During a hard or long race the body sustains damage and becomes fatigued. It is very difficult to know when this damage has been repaired and the body is ready to start the next block of training. This is where biomarker tracking can help. Our Recovery package consists of 3 test kits which will help you build your recovery profile. Your starting point to do this is to first establish a baseline number by completing your first test in the week before your race. The second blood sample should be collected 24hrs after the race and the third 2 weeks later. If you already have a good baseline established through regular testing then you can adjust your post race testing and include a further test either at 1 week or at 4 weeks after your race.
This Recovery profile is therefore ideal for those who want scientific insight into their own personal recovery profile. This will enable you to avoid the dangers of returning to training before your body is ready.

As a professional triathlete I put my body through a lot of stress. Some weeks involve over 30 hours of training and at the end of a block of training I expect a lot from myself. I respond to visible markers of fatigue and blunted immune function by adapting my training, however by working with Forth I’ve been able to get a better insight into my health, my fitness and my fatigue levels. This allows my to more accurately adapt my training load and get more out of the work I’m putting in. Ultimately it allows me to load my training at the right times and therefore race at my best.Susie Cheetham, Professional triathlete
As a professional athlete keeping healthy is very important. This is where Forth has been a massive help. I suffer from a hereditary condition which causes my body to store too much iron. My biggest issue before using Forth was getting an appointment with my GP. Now using Forth I can track my iron quickly and easily and take action before levels start to affect my health and my performance. This puts me back on a level playing field with my competitors and I am able to compete to the highest level I can.Mark Threlfall, Professional triathlete
