Ben Saunders is one of the world’s leading polar explorers with nearly 20 years’ experience in leading expeditions in the Arctic and Antarctica. He is also a recording-breaking long-distance skier having covered more than 7,000 km – 4,350 miles – on foot in the Polar Regions since 2001.
Alice Hector became an elite triathlete in 2014, and already had a string of medals and wins to her name. Since then, she’s clocked up 3 European elite medals, has become an Ironman 70.3 professional champion, and a 3 times Israman winner.
Time-trial cyclist Alice has certainly demonstrated her prowess, breaking the long-standing 12-hour time trial record in 2017 by covering 285.65 miles, and clocking up wins and podiums at events such as the 50- and 100-mile National Championships.
Amy Kilpin is an age group triathlete who started the sport in 2012 unable to swim front crawl. She is now a 5x Ironman 70.3 World Championship qualifier and more recently was overall age group champion at the Ironman 70.3 South American Championship.
2019 has been a great year for Archie Davis. He achieved a personal best in the 1500m, beating his previous time by 3 seconds, gaining a record and boosting his ranking to 23rd in the world for his age group. Other achievements included competing in his first Senior British Championship final and, despite being the youngest racer in the competition, finished 6th.
Since his introduction to bobsleigh in 2014, Axel has climbed through the ranks of the sport, making his European debut in 2016 and World Cup debut in 2018. His palmares include silver medals in the 2 and 4-man bobsleigh at the North America’s cup in 2019.

Brian Smith is a twice British professional road race champion, having represented Scotland and GB at the Olympic and Commonwealth games. Brian has now retired and has a successful media career as one of the main experts on British Eurosport.
Ultra-distance trail runner Claudia Schroegel has competed in numerous marathons and events, most recently winning gold at the 2019 Maverick X-Series Peak District Ultra. As a coach herself, she understands the importance of building a clear picture of the individual athlete so training and nutrition can be tailored to their needs.
Winning her first amateur multisports race barely six months after starting to compete – the Duathlon World Championships, no less – Eloise du Luart turned professional in 2018. Working with Forth Edge to hone her training and nutrition, she is looking forward to a strong season competing as a pro in Ironman 70.3 events.
Professional cyclist Harry Tanfield has clocked up major wins in both road and track cycling, with podiums on both national and international stages. 2019 saw him join the UCI World Tour to compete at the highest level internationally, and also race with Team GB as part of the first ever mixed relay time trial at the Road World Championships, where the team came away with a bronze medal.
Hayley Simmons has been a full-time, professional cyclist since completing Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry in 2016. Hayley won her first CTT National title in 2014 and her first Elite British National TT title in 2015. She is the holder of 3 British TT records (at 10, 25, and 50 miles) and was the first woman to break the 50-minute barrier for a 25-mile time trial. She has represented Great Britain at the international level every year since 2015 and won a bronze medal for Team England in the time trial at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast and another for Team GB in the time trial at the 2019 European Games in Minsk.
Kat Matthews is an Elite GB Long Distance Triathlete. She represents the professional triathlon team BMC-Vifit and is also a serving Physiotherapist Officer in the British Army. Kat started triathlon in 2015 and after two years in the GB age-group fields, she ventured into the middle distance world, winning the National MD Champs in 2018 and qualifying for her GB Pro race license in 2019. Her first pro season saw her podium in three IM 70.3 races, win the ETU MD Champs, come 16th at the WC IM70.3 and complete her first full Ironman in a debut time of 8hrs53.
Mark Threlfall is an ex-professional triathlete having been part of the British Triathlon team for many years, following a successful early career as a swimmer. Mark started his triathlon career in 2007 taking part in short distance triathlons before moving up to longer distance triathlons in 2012. Mark has had a number of career highlights and now offers triathlon and swimming coaching, alongside presenting on the Global Triathlon Network.
Rory Townsend is an Irish cyclist originally from the UK. Having studied Sports Science at St Marys University in Twickenham, he began cycling as a full-time profession in 2013, starting out with a British professional outfit Pedal Heaven race team. Since then he has been riding with the Canyon dhb team, whilst representing Ireland at International events including the European and World Road Race Championships, and the 2019 Tokyo Test event.
Simone had an amazing start to her professional career in 2019 winning Ironman Wales and setting a new course record in her first pro race and achieving a Kona 2020 World Championship slot. Simone is no stranger to success, having clocked up victory at Outlaw long distance triathon in 2018 again setting a new course record.
Sophie Kirk is an age group triathlete who started the sport in 2015. Previously a member of the GB orienteering junior squad and a club swimmer as a child, taking up cycling was the final hurdle. She is now a 2x Ironman 70.3 World Championship qualifier and has podiumed at every 70.3 event she has competed in.
Competitive runner turned triathlete, Susie Cheetham has an impressive number of 70.3 and full Ironman podiums to her name, as well as two sixth-place finishes at the Ironman World Championships in Kona. 2019 was a particularly strong year, with first place at Ironman Hamburg at a pace that set a new course record.
Former British Army Captain and Red Bull athlete Tom Evans exploded onto the ultra running scene in 2017 with a third place at the infamous Marathon des Sables. Immense natural talent with a science-informed approach to training has seen him clock up podiums on some of the biggest events in the ultra running world.
Olympian and World Champion are two titles Will Clarke can claim, alongside numerous Ironman podiums. His career began in 2002 and he has consistently made his mark in the triathlon world ever since, establishing himself as a talented long-distance athlete. His performance has seen him take sub-8 hour times on three separate occasions, including a career best 7hr45 at the 2018 Ironman North America Championships.
Up-and-coming road cyclist Zak has clocked up a serious number of races and results over the 2018 and 2019. Training and racing in Belgium, the one-day race calendar sees him compete several times a week.
