Simone was a relatively late comer to endurance sport starting her career 2012. She has had a fantastic amateur career, going to Kona World Championships twice, becoming 70.3 World Champion, British Middle Distant Champion, winning Outlaw Long Distance and breaking the course record and finishing second overall in Ironman Lanzarote as an age grouper. Simone turned pro at the end of 2019 after a lengthy injury. Her first race as a pro was Ironman Wales last September where she not only topped the podium but also broke the course record. She is looking forward to the World Championships in Kona in October.
